"A PLACE OF MEMORIES"
The Shady Rest Story:
The birth name was given by two old & very dear
friends of mines, Carlos Reid and Leslie Issac.
They were frequent visitors in my home along with
family members & friends who visited from Belize
& all over the United States.

family members & friends who visited from Belize
& all over the United States.
One day visiting friends were here and they both
said, "We should give this place a new name, not
just Barbs house but, SHADY REST"... Well it stuck!
This has been the home for young and old where
they can enjoy cool ambiance of the beautiful
bougainvilleas, the flamboyant with orange
blossoms hanging over the lake-side while the
ducklings enjoy their morning swim, and our
regular visitors from the big tree - The Iguanas -
who are always sunbathing in the backyard on their
favorite stone. The family and kids who fishes here
enjoy seeing the turtles. The many morning
breakfasts & barbecues lovers meet the evening
breeze as the sun goes down.

I have hosted many birthday's, weddings, 25 years of our children's Christmas
parties, and fund raiser toy drives for the less fortunate kid's and families in Belize.
The Belizean community and friends has been a great supporting force throughout
the years. A special "thank you" goes out to you all. Last but not least. The many
years of your favorite October event "CARNIVAL" where friends meet and mingle with
good home-cooked food, and music.
